Q. What is Ripple?
A. Ripple is Boulder’s first self-serve frozen yogurt shop – locally owned and operated. We opened our doors in January 2011. We offer 16 delicious flavors of frozen yogurt daily. We’ve got over 60 toppings—everything from cereal and fruit to hot fudge and our own baked toppings made fresh in our own kitchen. The possibilities are endless.

Q. Where is Ripple’s yogurt made?
A. Ripple is 100% pure, all-natural frozen yogurt made locally at Boulder Ice Cream with milk sourced exclusively from Front Range dairies. Our yogurt contains no artificial flavors, colors, sweeteners or stabilizers, and is made without synthetic growth hormones. Besides being unspeakably delicious, Ripple yogurt is rich in protein and calcium, loaded with live and active cultures, and low in calories, sodium and fat.

Q. What’s behind the name Ripple?
A. Well, a lot of things. It’s black raspberry ripple. It’s the ever-expanding ripples radiating across a pond. It’s nature. It’s yogurt. It’s “Ripple” by the Grateful Dead: “Reach out your hand if your cup be empty. If your cup is full may it be again.” OK, so it wasn’t about yogurt, but if Ripple had been around then, it might well have been!

Q: What makes Ripple different?
A. Everything. Our yogurt is natural, rich and flavorful. Our machines and freezers are state-of-the-art. Our products are local. Our staff is warm. We compost. We donate to local charities. We understand the connection between local and global. We work hard for sustainability. We think that a local yogurt shop can be more than just a local yogurt shop. There are a lot of things that make us different. And we think that all of that goes into a cup of yogurt. Come in and taste the difference.

Q. What is a Rippler?
A. If you have to ask, you haven’t been in yet! We define a Rippler as one who has come under the spell of The Ripple Effect. A Rippler is someone who believes, as we do, in the colossal joy of frozen yogurt.

Q. What? No small, medium, or large? How does this whole thing work?
A. Our yogurt and toppings are sold by weight, so you pay for exactly what you want. At 44 cents an ounce, Ripple fits every taste and budget. Whether you recently came into an inheritance or you found some extra change on the floorboards, we’ve got something for you. At Ripple, we’re spreading the love, one ounce at a time.

Q. I’m lactose intolerant. Are any of your yogurts or other treats lactose-free?
A. Yes! We offer a dairy-free sorbet, so you can come in and indulge with your lactose-loving friends.

Q. Do you offer any gluten-free products? This is Boulder, after all.
A. We try very hard to be inclusive at Ripple. Most of our flavors are gluten-free. See our nutritional information here. We bake our own chocolate chip gluten-free brownies daily in our in-house bakery. Other options include our fruit toppings, select dry toppings, and Noosa Yoghurt—fresh from the dairy.

Q. Do you serve anything besides frozen yogurt?
A. Yes! Ripple’s own in-house bakery serves up warm gluten-free chocolate brownies, birthday cake truffles, chocolate chip cookie bars, cheesecake bites, mini cinnamon buns and more. We are always baking something new, so be sure to ask. We also serve delicious Noosa Yoghurt. Try it with our homemade berry jam sauce, fresh blackberries or Fiona’s Organic Granola.
